Halloween Saturday in the 417: Every Trunk-or-Treat, Festival & Fall Event TODAY (Oct 24) — Plus Sunday After Church

It's here, mamas — the biggest Halloween Saturday of the year in the 417, and it is PACKED. Twenty-eight events today across the 417, starting this morning and running all the way to 9:30 tonight. I put every single one in this post with the time, the address and what it costs, so you can pick your stops and go.

Short on time? Harvest Fest is FREE and in its final weekend, the Pets & Pumpkins parade lines up downtown at 2:15, and there are trunk-or-treats staggered all evening so you can hit two or three without rushing. And if today fills up, Sunday after church has some good ones too — those are at the bottom.

๐Ÿ—“️ The Game Plan — How to Stack the Weekend

Saturday:Start with Hy-Vee trick-or-treating at 10 (free) or the FREE Family Fall Festival on Independence (10:30–2). Midday, pick your anchor: Harvest Fest (free to get in — you only pay if the kids ride) or downtown for Pets & Pumpkins ($2 a person covers everything — be at Park Central East by 2:15 for the costume parade line-up). Evening: Boo Bash at the Y (5–8, FREE) or Ozark's Festival of Frights (trick-or-treating and the outdoor movie are free — skip the $15 wristbands). Still standing? Reliable Towing's trunk-or-treat runs to 9:30.

Sunday after church:Harvest Fest's final hours (12–6, free to get in) or Campbell's Maze Daze's last Sunday of the season (12–7). Then Candyland at 3 (free!) and wind down at a 5–7 trunk-or-treat — indoors at Ozark United Methodist, or the Faith & Family Festival on Cleveland St.

๐Ÿ’› If You're Picking Just Two

My picks: Harvest Fest this morning or afternoon (it's free, and after this weekend it's gone) plus Pets & Pumpkins downtown — get there in time for the 2:15 parade line-up, and your $2 goes to local kids and animals.

Nixa and Ozark families, here's your easy route: NLA Cafe at 5:30, then roll over to the Festival of Frights at The OC from 6–8. Two stops, both close to home, and the kids will sleep good tonight.

Whatever you pick — have fun out there, take a picture of those costumes for me, and tell me in the comments where your crew ended up! ๐ŸŽƒ
