417 Moms, IRL: Real Springfield Moms, Real Stories (Want to Be Featured?)
Okay, mamas — I have an idea and I need you to tell me if you love it as much as I do. 💛
I've been thinking about how this community is full of incredible women I haven't even met yet. Moms in Nixa juggling three kids' sports schedules. Moms in Ozark running a business from their kitchen table. Moms in Springfield who know exactly which park has the good swings and which splash pad has the shortest line.
And I keep thinking: I want to know these women.
So Here's the Idea: "417 Moms, IRL"
A brand-new interview series right here on The 417 Mom, featuring REAL moms from the Springfield area. Not influencers. Not perfect moms (do those even exist? asking for a friend 😅). Just regular 417 moms living their lives — and sharing a little piece of it with the rest of us.
Each feature will be a quick, fun Q&A, like:
- Tell us about your crew! Who are your kids, and what are they into right now?
- What does a regular day look like for you? (The real one, not the Instagram one.)
- What's your go-to free or cheap family outing in the 417?
- How do you recharge when you get five minutes to yourself? (Five minutes is the dream, let's be honest.)
- What's your tiny luxury? (Mine is a gas-station coffee I actually get to drink hot. ☕)
- What's the best mom advice you've ever gotten?
- What do you wish more Springfield moms knew about? (A resource, a program, a hidden gem — anything!)
- Where can people find you? (Your blog, your business, your Facebook page — shameless plugs welcome!)
That's it. Quick. Real. Fun. The kind of thing you can read in the pickup line at school.
Why I'm Doing This
Because motherhood can be lonely, even in a crowded house. And I truly believe that when we know each other's stories, we show up for each other more.
Maybe you'll read a feature and think "Oh my gosh, she lives in my neighborhood and her kid is the same age as mine!" Maybe you'll discover a new free activity. Maybe you'll find your new mom friend. That's the whole point.
