Well, 417, the weather whiplash has officially arrived. We go from t-shirts at the bus stop to scraping frost off the windshield in about five minutes flat around here, and this weekend is our first real taste of it — lows are dipping into the upper 30s Friday and Saturday night. First freeze, mamas. It is time to cozy up.

That's exactly why I'm starting something new: 417 Mom Finds — a weekly roundup where I gather the practical, budget-friendly finds that actually fit Springfield mom life. Local first, always — the finds just ride along. Here's installment #1, built for this first-freeze weekend:

๐Ÿงฃ First-Freeze Weekend Finds

1. LifePlus Freestanding Electric Fireplace (1500W, with remote) — NOW $99.99 (was $199.99)
If your living room turns into an icebox the second the sun goes down, this is the cozy anchor. It takes the chill off the room everybody piles into for movie night, and the remote means nobody has to get up off the couch to turn it up. Half price right now, too.

2. Exclusivo Mezcla Fleece Throw Blanket — NOW $13.49 (was $22.99)
Every Springfield couch needs a designated blanket by the end of October. This is the one that lives on the arm of the sofa for chilly mornings, homework time, and Friday night football on TV.

3. No Boundaries Women's Polar Fleece Zip-Up Jacket — NOW $8.00 (was $14.98)
The official uniform of the school drop-off line. Light enough to toss on over anything, warm enough for those brisk bus-stop mornings, and at eight dollars it's priced like a clearance-rack miracle. Grab one for the car, too — future you will be so grateful at a cold soccer game.

4. Garanimals Baby & Toddler Joggers, 3-Pack — NOW $3.58 (was $11.94)
Layering season hits the littlest ones hardest. A 3-pack of soft French terry joggers for under four dollars is the kind of thing you stock up on — one pair for today, one for the diaper bag, one for the inevitable mess.

5. YOMYM Fuzzy Slipper Socks, 7 Pairs — NOW $9.97 (was $15.99)
Cold kitchen floors at 6 AM are a special kind of rude. Seven pairs of fuzzy slipper socks means warm feet all week — and a spare pair for every cold-floor emergency. These also make the easiest little "thinking of you" gift for teachers and neighbors.

6. Hug A Lumps Clover the Cow Weighted Plush — NOW $10.00 (was $37.00)
A cuddle buddy for the kids when the nights turn chilly — the gentle weight makes it extra snuggly for reading time and winding down. At $10 (down from $37!), this is also a smart one to tuck into the gift closet for birthdays and holidays coming up.

7. Thoughtfully Gourmet 12 Days of Christmas Hot Chocolate Sampler — NOW $19.99
First-freeze weekend calls for a hot chocolate taste-test — that's just science. Twelve different flavors to work through as a family, and it doubles as an early gift-closet grab for teachers, bus drivers, and neighbors.

8. Breezio 50000mAh Power Bank with Built-In Cables — NOW $27.99 (was $59.99)
The car-ready one. Cold snaps mean dead phone batteries at the worst moments and the occasional flickering-power evening. This beast charges the whole family's phones, lives happily in the glove box or your bag, and has the cables built right in.

That's the first roundup, mamas! Prices can change fast this time of year, so if something catches your eye, don't wait around — and tell me in the comments what your family's first-freeze must-have is. I read every single one.
